About Central Valley Dentists

A directory for the Central Valley, run from the Central Valley.

Most online dental directories are national, generic, and built on stale data. We’re trying to be the opposite: one place, one Valley, kept current, run by people who live here.

What we do

We list local dental offices, sort them by what they actually handle (general care, kids, ortho, oral surgery, emergency), and pass your request to one that fits. You skip the round of cold calls.

Who we’re for

People in Merced and the rest of the Valley who need a dentist: families, students, retirees on Medi-Cal, ag workers paying cash. We try to make the site equally useful for all of them.

How a request works

You fill out a short form. We look at your city, what kind of care you need, and your insurance, then send it to an office that handles that combination. They call or email you back, usually within a business day.

What we cover

The kinds of care we list

Cleanings, root canals, braces, surgery, emergency, Medi-Cal — sorted by what people in the Valley actually search for.

How this site works

Where the data comes from, who picks the order, who pays

A short, honest explanation. Read this before you trust anything else on the site.

Where listings come from

Each practice starts as a row pulled from its public Google Business Profile: name, address, phone, hours, rating, review count, photo. We refresh that data on a schedule and link back to the Google listing on every profile. No purchased lead lists, no scraping of patient data.

How a practice can claim its profile

The office sends us a quick claim from an email on its domain (or a verifiable contact). We email back a one-tap magic link. Once they confirm, the profile shows a Claimed or Verified by office chip and the office can edit it.

How the order is decided

On a city or specialty page, results are sorted by featured status first, then total Google review count, then average rating, then name. Featured rows are labelled. We do not silently weight reviews by recency, sentiment, or any private signal.

What happens when you submit the form

If the practice is claimed, the inquiry goes straight to that office's email with you set as the reply-to. If it’s unclaimed, the inquiry lands in our admin inbox and we follow up so you still get help. We do not pass a single inquiry to multiple offices.

Editorial vs. paid

Featured rows are visibly tagged. Everything else — the service summaries, FAQs, guides — is written for patients, not for advertisers. Being featured does not change a practice’s review data and does not hide negative information about them.

We are not your dentist

This site helps you find one. It does not diagnose anything, recommend treatment, or tell you how much of a medication to take. For specifics about your case, go to a licensed clinician — that is the whole point of the directory.

Getting something fixed or removed

If a profile is wrong, the fastest fix is to claim the listing and edit it. If you want a listing removed, email hello@centralvalleydentists.com from an address tied to the practice and we’ll handle it inside a business day.

Who’s behind this

A small, independent team based in California. Reach us at hello@centralvalleydentists.com for partnerships, corrections, press, or any other question.
